Using an Internet Service Provider - ISP

Renting a server from an Internet Service Provider (ISP) is a common option.

Most small companies store their web site on a server provided by an ISP. Here are some advantages:

Connection Speed:-
Most ISPs have very fast connections to the Internet.

Powerful Hardware:-
ISPs often have powerful web servers that can be shared by several companies. You can also expect them to have an effective load balancing, and necessary backup servers.Security and Stability

ISPs are specialists on web hosting. Expect their servers to have more than 99% up time, the latest software patches, and the best virus protection.

Hosting your own Web site

Hosting your web site on your own server is always an option.
Here are some points to consider:
Hardware Expenses:-To run a "real" web site, you will have to buy some powerful server hardware. Don't expect that a low cost PC will do the job. You will also need a permanent (24 hours a day ) high-speed connection.
Software Expenses:-Remember that server-licenses often are higher than client-licenses. Also note that server-licenses might have limits on number of users.
Labor Expenses:-Don't expect low labor expenses. You have to install your own hardware and software. You also have to deal with bugs and viruses, and keep your server constantly running in an environment where "everything could happen".

Things to Consider with an ISP - Internet Service Provider

Now , I will tell you some important points to be considered while taking an ISP connection :-

1.24-hour support

2.Make sure your ISP offers 24-hours support. Don't put yourself in a situation where you cannot fix critical problems without having to wait until the next working day. Toll-free phone could be vital if you don't want to pay for long distance calls.

3.Daily BackupMake sure your ISP runs a daily backup routine, otherwise you may lose some valuable data.

4.Traffic Volume

5.Study the ISP's traffic volume restrictions. Make sure that you don't have to pay a fortune for unexpected high traffic if your web site becomes popular.

6.Bandwidth or Content Restrictions

7.Study the ISP's bandwidth and content restrictions. If you plan to publish pictures or broadcast video or sound, make sure that you can.

8.E-mail Capabilities

9.Make sure your ISP supports the e-mail capabilities you need.

10.Front Page Extensions

If you use FrontPage to develop your web site, make sure your ISP supports

FrontPage server extensions.

11.Database AccessIf you plan to use data from databases on your web site, make sure your ISP supports the database access you need.

Registering a Domain

Domains can be registered from domain name registration companies.

These companies provide interfaces to search for available domain names, and they offer a variety of domain name extensions that can be registered at the same time.

What is a Domain Name?

A domain name is a unique name for a web site, like forexdomainhostingtips.blogspot.com.

Domain names must be registered. When domain names are registered, they are added to a large domain name register. In addition, information about the web site, including the IP address, is stored on a DNS server.

DNS stands for Domain Name System. A DNS server is responsible for informing all other computers on the Internet about the domain name and the web site address.

Choosing a Domain Name

Choosing a domain name is a major step for any individual or organization.
New domain name extensions and creative thinking still offer thousands of excellent domain names!

When choosing a name, it is important to consider the purpose of a domain name, which is to provide an easy way to reach your web site.

The best domains have the following characteristics:

Short - People don't like to type! A short domain name is easier to type, read, and remember.

Meaningful - A short domain is nothing without meaning, 34i4nh.com is not easy to enter or to remember. Select a domain that relates to your site in a way that people will understand.

Clear - Clarity is important when selecting a domain name. Avoid a name that is difficult to spell or pronounce.

Exposure - Names that are short and easy to remember are an asset. In addition to visitors, also consider search engines. Search engines index your site and rank it for relevance against terms people search for. In order to maximize your sites exposure, consider including a relevant search term in your domain. Of course, only consider this if it still maintains a short, clear and meaningful domain name.

So , wisely choose your DOMAIN NAME .

Disk Space

How Much Disk Space?

Yes this is one of the important factor in web hosting . Its very important that how much disk space is available .

A small or medium web site will need between 10 and 100MB of disk space. If you look at the size of HTML pages, you will see that the average size is very small.

But if you look at the size of the images used inside these pages, you will often find the images larger than the page.

Expect each HTML page to take up between 5 and 50KB of disk space on your web server, depending on the use of images or other space-consuming elements.

If you use a lot of images or graphic elements (or sound files or movies), you might need much more disk space.Make sure you know your needs, before choosing a web host.

Web Hosting Capacities

Monthly Traffic

A small or medium web site will consume between 1GB and 5GB of data transfer per month.Calculate the following: average page size * expected page views per month

Example: If your average page size is 30KB and you expect 50,000 page views per month, you will need 0.03MB * 50,000 = 1.5GB.Larger, commercial sites often consume more than 100GB of monthly traffic.

Before you sign up with a host provider, make sure to check this:

1.What are the restrictions on monthly transfer?

2.Will the web site be closed if it exceeds the volume?

3.Will you be billed a fortune if the web site exceeds the volume? Is upgrading a simple task?

Web Hosting Capacities

Connection Speed

In the early days of the Internet a T1 connection was considered a fast connection. Today connection speeds are much faster.

1 byte equals to 8 bits (and that's the number of bits used to transport one character). Low-speed modems can transport from about 14 000 to 56 000 bits per second (14 to 56 kilobits per second). That is somewhere between 2000 and 7000 characters per second, or about 1 to 5 pages of written text.

One kilobit (Kb) is 1024 bits. One megabit (Mb) is 1024 kilobits. One gigabit (Gb) is 1024 megabits.

Before you sign up with a host provider, surf some other web sites on their servers, and try to get a good feeling about their network speed. Also compare the other sites against yours, to see if it looks like you have the same needs. Contacting some of the other customers is also a valuable option.

Forex Reduces 2009 [Statistics]

1.Callaway Reports Year End Results
Reducing 2009 EPS EstimateCallaway reported their year end results last week which were in line with their earlier pre-announcement. The wake-up call on the conference call was the disclosure of the potential impact of foreign exchange rates on 2009 results. It was disclosed that at the current level of global spot currency rates that Callaway would take a $56 million hit to the revenue line with a much larger proportional hit to the bottom line due to the fact that their cost of sales are all $US denominated. This results in a sharply lower EPS estimate for 2009. We are reducing our 2009 EPS estimate from $0.92 per share to $0.50 per share. This is a larger reduction than suggested by Callaway, but certain important exchange rates have continued to work against them since the end of the year, and the sales volume is very front end loaded on the.
2.Impressions from the PGA Show
While we will be publishing our PGA Merchandise Show report at a later time, we should include some of our Callaway specific impressions. First of all, Callaway recognizes that they have not done enough to capture share in the $299 driver category. They also recognize that the consumer still wants technological innovation, but that the consumer wants it coupled with a value proposition. Therefore capturing share in the $299 driver category is going to be extremely important.Callaway is clearly increasing the marketing emphasis on this category for 2009 with the introduction of the Callaway Diablo driver. They are even making an effort to get usage of the driver on the PGA Tour. Rocco Mediate plans to put the Diablo driver in play on tour, and possibly Stuart Appleby. This is almost unprecedented, as almost all tour spend has focused on top of the line products. It’s truly a new day, but we agree with the direction. The Diablo also incorporates a unique pseudo-geometrical shape, thus impressing upon the potential customer that a significant amount of technology is inherent in this design.
3. UPlay Acquisition

If the UPlay acquisition had been for a material amount, we would certainly be concerned about it’s potential for success or failure. After all, no company we know of has ever made a penny selling hand-held GPS technology to golfers. The subscription model just has not worked. With UPlay, the model is going to be a single purchase price, then a $10 fee per course to download the relevant information. We remain skeptical. It was suggested to us that the technology could be adapted to the creation of other non-golf products. While we don’t expect to see Callaway competing with Garmin or Tom Tom any time soon, we are curious to see what some of these other products may be. But we have the CEO on record; “Trust me, we will make money with GPS”. To that we say “Trust us,we will keep on asking”.
keep on asking
4. Compression to Tangible Book Value

The shares are now selling at a minimal premium to tangible book value, and a pretty significant discount to stated book value. Our judgment continues to be that while price targets are irrelevant at the moment, downside risk is significantly limited. With the forex headwind currently impacting EPS, we can only say with great assurance that the forex relationships are going to change again, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. Frankly, as it relates to changes in foreign currencies, there is no ‘normalized earnings’ per se. Thus assigning benefit to forex gains or deducting points for forex losses is a waste of time.Callaway is running their business about as well as can be expected in this environment. Most industry participants were impressed with their Q4 top line results. We think, with a global footprint and significant financial resources that ELY will ride this out better than most. We also believe that analysts trying to micromanage the rating on ELY will be very late to the party when the turn comes. So we will stay here, reiterate our buy rating, and see just what the spring has in store for us. It’s risky, but risk is our business. No price target is necessary from these levels.
5. Initiating 2010 EPS Estimate

We can make a case why consumer confidence should actually start to pick up in 2009, but we can’t make a case why it should pick up fast enough to help a calendar front-loaded industry such as the golf industry in time to help much in 2009.The self fulfilling prophecy of industry participants forecasting weak sales is enough to keep open-to-buys low and inventory stocking modest. If thing pick up in 2009, the chase will be on, but who can get there? We think 2010 could be quite different though. We judge that any recovery of consumer sentiment will be felt in the 8-9 million core golf consumers first and more vigorously. Every participant we talked to agreed with the concept of demand building as consumers defer purchases, and the more they defer, the greater the pent up demand will build. Thus when sentiment turns up, business is likely to have an explosive ramp off the bottom initially, resulting in a very strong first year recovery. Therefore, our estimate reflects what that recovery could look like if indeed we come off the bottom in 2010 or before. Our initial estimate for 2010 is at $1.24 per share. Our revenue estimate is for revenues to recover to $1.125 billion. While our confidence in our 2010 estimate is not high, our confidence that our 2009 estimate is likely too low is pretty strong.Since this is a single point estimate based as much off an economic call we are not going to attempt to base any price target off of this estimate. Still, we want it out there and on the record.

Futures Spread Trading

What Is a Spread?

A spread is defined as the sale of one or more futures contracts and the purchase of one or more offsetting futures contracts. You can turn that around to state that a spread is the purchase of one or more futures contracts and the sale of one or more offsetting futures contracts. A spread is also created when a trader owns (is long) the physical vehicle and offsets by selling (going short) futures. Furthermore, a spread is defined as the purchase and sale of one or more offsetting futures contracts normally recognized as a spread by the fact that the two sides of the spread are actually related in some way. This explicitly excludes those exotic spreads put forth by some vendors, which are nothing more than computer generated coincidences which are not in any way related. Such exotic spreads as Long Bond futures and Short Bean Oil futures may show up as reliable computer generated spreads, but bean oil and bonds are not really related. Such spreads fall into the same category as believing the annual performance of the U.S. stock market is somehow related to the outcome of the Super Bowl sporting event. In any case, for tactical reasons in carrying out a particular strategy, you want to end up with:

1.simultaneously long futures of one kind in one month, and short futures of the same kind in another month. (Intramarket Calendar Spread)

2.simultaneously long futures of one kind, and short futures of another kind. (Intermarket Spread)long futures at one exchange, and short a related futures at another exchange. (Inter-exchange Spread)

3.long an underlying physical commodity, and short a futures contract. (Hedge)

4.long an underlying equity position, and short a futures contract. (Hedge)

5.long financial instruments, and short financial futures. (Hedge)

6.a single stock futures and short a sector index

The primary ways in which this can be accomplished are:

1.Via an Intramarket spread.

2.Via an Intermarket spread.

3.Via an Inter-exchange spread.

4.By ownership of the underlying and offsetting with a futures contract

Intramarket Spreads

Officially, Intramarket spreads are created only as calendar spreads. You are long and short futures in the same market, but in different months. An example of an Intramarket spread is that you are Long July Corn and simultaneously Short December Corn.Intermarket SpreadsAn Intermarket spread can be accomplished by going long futures in one market, and short futures of the same month in another market. For example: Short May Wheat and Long May Soybeans.Intermarket spreads can become calendar spreads by using long and short futures in different markets and in different months.

Inter-Exchange Spreads

A less commonly known method of creating spreads is via the use of contracts in similar markets, but on different exchanges. These spreads can be calendar spreads using different months, or they can be spreads in which the same month is used. Although the markets are similar, because the contracts occur on different exchanges they are able to be spread. An example of an Inter-exchange calendar spread would be simultaneously Long July Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) Wheat, and Short an equal amount of May Kansas City Board of Trade (KCBOT) Wheat. An example of using the same month might be Long December CBOT Wheat and Short December KCBOT Wheat.

What Foreign Investors Need to Know About Us Real Estate Tax

US real estate tax can have a serious impact on the amount of profit made through the purchase and sale of property in the USA. It's a topic that all foreign investors need to understand in order to be invest successfully in the USA.In total, a foreigner investor needs to consider three main areas when it comes to tax income, capital gains and inheritance tax. The laws are quite complex and require a good international tax attorney, but here is a brief overview.

Income Taxes: If you end up renting your property, you will need to pay income tax. As a foreign real estate investor, you can simply choose to have the gross income taxed, currently at a rate of 30%. If you decide to go ahead with this basic flat rate, deductions for things such as maintenance, mortgage interest and utility payments are not permitted.. Nevertheless, your country may have special treaties with the USA where the flat rate is actually less than 30%.A better, and more popular alternative, is to treat investments in US real property as a trade or business. This allows you to be taxed on net income rather than gross, which can greatly reduce your US Real Estate Tax bill.

Capital Gains Tax: When you sell your real estate, capital gains tax is due. In order to ensure compliance with payment, the US government has established FIRPTA which stands for Foreign Investors Real Property Tax Act. It requires the buyer to take 10% from the sales price and send it directly to the Internal Revenues Service as down payment for taxes due. Once a return is filed, the money is used toward the taxes owed, or refunded if necessary. There are some instances where FIRPTA does not apply. For instance, if you choose to exchange your property for another similar property in the US, called a 1031 exchange, you would be exempt. Another common scenario which allows a FIRPTA exemption is when the buyer is going to use the property as their personal residence and the sales price is less than $300,000.

Inheritance Tax: If you die owning property in the US, your estate will have a hefty inheritance tax burden. Foreign individuals are not allowed the usual exclusion given to US residents. However, you can avoid this tax by establishing entities offshore to own the property. There exist certain investment structures which can be put into place to help reduce or eliminate the amount of tax paid. The key is to find a skilled International tax accountant, and discuss the US Real Estate Tax, as well as the pros and cons of each structure, prior to investing in the market

Special about Forex

What is So Special About Forex Trading Signal Software?

Forex trading signal software is being used by upwards of 30% of all traders these days. This warrants knowing both why forex trading signal software is so popular and how and if it works to make you money. These are programs designed to act like stock pickers but for the currency exchange world. How they work is they analyze real time market data and employ complex mathematical algorithms to detect profitable trading ops and the makings of trends.

These algorithms are tested far in advance of being released to traders so that by the time it hits the market it is as precise and accurate as possible at finding these trends. Once all of the difficult work of market crunching has been done for you, the forex trading signal software notifies you so that you can trade accordingly. While these programs will not carry out every aspect of trading for you like automated trade software will, the learning curve to use one of the better of these programs effectively isn't too bad.

All you've really got to know how to do to make money using this software is how to enact a trade simply using an online trade account. Also, because every aspect of the market analysis process is carried out for you, no emotions or harmful outside human factors are present to poison your trades, another point which is great for newer, less experienced traders and a point which critics and experts alike have praised in forex trading signal software.

How Forex Option is Calculated

Almost every trader is now benefiting from forex options because of its ability to enable the trader to control the expiration period of the trades. Once trader gets this ability, he or she would not only be saved from short term volatility, his or her earnings would also surely increase.

A trader would just have to understand the basics of forex options usage and he or she is sure to succeed in trading. To do this, it is necessary to learn of the forex option formula where the results from this tool are derived from. The forex option formula is comprised of five Greek letters. These five each represent an important factor in determining the next move of a trader. The first of these Greek characters is Delta.

This Greek letter represents the movement of the actual market trend in relation to the mother or the underlying asset. If it sees that the trend is moving along with the mother, it will display positive. However, if the market trend is moving in an opposite direction, the Delta will be a negative. To further understand the movement of the Delta, Gamma was added.
This character represents the possibility of changes in Delta. It remains positive if a change in Delta is bound to happen and displays zero if no change is about to occur. The other three letters, Theta, Vega and Rho represent time decay, volatility and interest rates respectively. With these, traders are able to understand how each factor affects the actual trading process and learn from it.

Obtaining hosting

Web hosting is often provided as part of a general Internet access plan; there are many free and paid providers offering these services.

A customer needs to evaluate the requirements of the application to choose what kind of hosting to use. Such considerations include database server software, scripting software, and operating system. Most hosting providers provide Linux-based web hosting which offers a wide range of different software. A typical configuration for a Linux server is the LAMP platform: Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP/Perl/Python. The webhosting client may want to have other services, such as email for their business domain, databases or multi-media services for streaming media.

A customer may also choose Windows as the hosting platform. The customer still can choose from PHP, Perl, and Python but may also use ASP .Net or Classic ASP.
Web hosting packages often include a Web Content Management System, so the end-user doesn't have to worry about the more technical aspects. These Web Content Management systems are great for the average user, but for those who want more control over their website design, this feature may not be adequate.

Most modern desktop operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X) are also capable of running web server software, and thus can be used to host basic websites.
One may also search the Internet to find active webhosting message boards and forums that may provide feedback on what type of webhosting company may suit his/her needs.

Types of hosting

Internet hosting services can run Web servers; see Internet hosting services.
Hosting services limited to the Web:

Many large companies who are not internet service providers also need a computer permanently connected to the web so they can send email, files, etc. to other sites. They may also use the computer as a website host so they can provide details of their goods and services to anyone interested. Additionally these people may decide to place online orders.

Free web hosting service: Free web hosting is offered by different companies with limited services, sometimes advertisement-supported web hosting, and is often limited when compared to paid hosting.

Shared web hosting service: one's website is placed on the same server as many other sites, ranging from a few to hundreds or thousands. Typically, all domains may share a common pool of server resources, such as RAM and the CPU. The features available with this type of service can be quite extensive. A shared website may be hosted with a reseller.

Reseller web hosting: allows clients to become web hosts themselves. Resellers could function, for individual domains, under any combination of these listed types of hosting, depending on who they are affiliated with as a provider. Resellers' accounts may vary tremendously in size: they may have their own virtual dedicated server to a collocated server. Many resellers provide a nearly identical service to their provider's shared hosting plan and provide the technical support themselves.

Virtual Dedicated Server: also known as a Virtual Private Server (VPS for short) divides server resources into virtual servers, where resources can be allocated in a way that does not directly reflect the underlying hardware. VPS will often be allocated resources based on a one server to many VPSs relationship, however virtualisation may be done for a number of reasons, including the ability to move a VPS container between servers. The users may have root access to their own virtual space. This is also known as a virtual private server or VPS. Customers are sometimes responsible for patching and maintaining the server.

Dedicated hosting service: the user gets his or her own Web server and gains full control over it (root access for Linux/administrator access for Windows); however, the user typically does not own the server. Another type of Dedicated hosting is Self-Managed or Unmanaged. This is usually the least expensive for Dedicated plans. The user has full administrative access to the box, which means the client is responsible for the security and maintenance of his own dedicated box.

Managed hosting service: the user gets his or her own Web server but is not allowed full control over it (root access for Linux/administrator access for Windows); however, they are allowed to manage their data via FTP or other remote management tools. The user is disallowed full control so that the provider can guarantee quality of service by not allowing the user to modify the server or potentially create configuration problems. The user typically does not own the server. The server is leased to the client.

Colocation web hosting service: similar to the dedicated web hosting service, but the user owns the colo server; the hosting company provides physical space that the server takes up and takes care of the server. This is the most powerful and expensive type of the web hosting service. In most cases, the colocation provider may provide little to no support directly for their client's machine, providing only the electrical, Internet access, and storage facilities for the server. In most cases for colo, the client would have his own administrator visit the data center on site to do any hardware upgrades or changes.

Cloud hosting: is a new type of hosting platform that allows customers powerful, scalable and reliable hosting based on clustered load-balanced servers and utility billing. Removing single-point of failures and allowing customers to pay for only what they use versus what they could use.
Clustered hosting: having multiple servers hosting the same content for better resource utilization. Clustered Servers are a perfect solution for high-availability dedicated hosting, or creating a scalable web hosting solution. A cluster may separate web serving from database hosting capability.

Grid hosting: this form of distributed hosting is when a server cluster acts like a grid and is composed of multiple nodes.

Home server: usually a single machine placed in a private residence can be used to host one or more web sites from a usually consumer-grade broadband connection. These can be purpose-built machines or more commonly old PCs. Some ISPs actively attempt to block home servers by disallowing incoming requests to TCP port 80 of the user's connection and by refusing to provide static IP addresses. A common way to attain a reliable DNS hostname is by creating an account with a dynamic DNS service. A dynamic DNS service will automatically change the IP address that a URL points to when the IP address changes

Hosting reliability and uptime

Multiple racks of servers .

Hosting uptime refers to the percentage of time the host is accessible via the internet. Many providers state that they aim for at least 99.9% uptime (roughly equivalent to 45 minutes of downtime a month, or less), but there may be server restarts and planned (or unplanned) maintenance in any hosting environment, which may or may not be considered part of the official uptime promise.
Many providers tie uptime and accessibility into their own service level agreement (SLA). SLAs sometimes include refunds or reduced costs if performance goals are not met.

A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to make their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own or lease for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation.

Service scope

The scope of hosting services varies widely. The most basic is web page and small-scale file hosting, where files can be uploaded via File Transfer Protocol(FTP) or a Web interface. The files are usually delivered to the Web "as is" or with little processing. Many Internet Service Providers (ISPs) offer this service free to their subscribers. People can also obtain Web page hosting from other, alternative service providers. Personal web site hosting is typically free, advertisement-sponsored, or cheap. Business web site hosting often has a higher expense.
Single page hosting is generally sufficient only for personal web pages. A complex site calls for a more comprehensive package that provides database support and application development platforms (e.g. PHP, Java, Ruby on Rails, ColdFusion, and ASP.NET). These facilities allow the customers to write or install scripts for applications like and content management. For e-commerce, SSL is also highly recommended.
The host may also provide an interface or control panel for managing the Web server and installing scripts as well as other services like e-mail. Some hosts specialize in certain software or services (e.g. e-commerce). They are commonly used by larger companies to outsource network infrastructure to a hosting company.
